the inevitable
900 miles roundtrip, about 5 trips per year for over 4 years.....it was bound to happen. yes i, the invincible one, got pulled over on my trip to lubbock. now i know many people think i've had this coming, but let me just say that i did it in style.
i didn't see him until it was too late. too late to slow down from 80 to 55. in a construction zone. where fines are doubled. yay. so i pulled over, turned the car off, threw my keys on the dash (thanks to drew darsey for that move) and stayed surprisingly calm. i didn't create an elaborate story for why i was speeding, or break out into tears. i simply informed the state trooper that he was my bitch. and for all of this, i got a warning. that's right folks.
so to anyone who was thinking 'i told you so', i have two words for you: shove it.
